The following area Easter events will be held for children Saturday, April 3. Some events are changed from past years because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Pine River
Area churches will gather to host the annual Pine River-Backus Community Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at Forbes Park.
The event is for children up to age 12.
There will be prize baskets and family gifts provided by area businesses and churches.
Pequot Lakes
Participating businesses will hand out Easter eggs filled with candy. Find the special Easter egg with the Bobber Bunny inside and win the grand prize - a new kid’s bike.

Eggs will be handed out until gone.

Lake Shore
Lake Shore police will host the annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at Fritz Loven Park.
Participants are asked to preregister a time slot by 3 p.m. Friday, April 2, by calling 218-963-8073 and leaving a message. This will help comply with executive orders.
Crosslake
The Crosslake Ideal Lions Club will host an Easter EGGStravaganza on Saturday, April 3, for kids up to age 12 at the Lions picnic shelter and outdoor play area at the Crosslake Community Center.
The event will feature an egg hunt and game maze with different time slots, or a drive-thru option from 12:30-1 p.m. in the parking lot.
Preregistration is required by calling 763-670-1888 or emailing info@crosslakeideallions.org.
The egg hunt and game maze has four time slots: 10-10:30 a.m., 10:30-11 a.m., 11-11:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to noon. Participants are asked to register for a time slot so organizers can best prepare volunteers.

The drive-thru event will feature the Easter Bunny handing out goody bags to children in cars.
Social distancing will be practiced.
Nisswa
The annual Children’s Easter event will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 3, at the Nisswa American Legion for children ages 11 and under.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the Easter Bunny will stop at the Legion to hand out an Easter bag of eggs and surprises to children in the Legion parking lot.
