Backus senior center offers free meal to veterans

The Pine Mountaineer Senior Center in Backus will have its first free veterans' meal from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13.

All veterans are invited to stop in for a free meatloaf dinner as a sign of appreciation for their duty to the country.

This event is also open to the non-veteran public for $7.50 for the meal. The Backus Senior Center serves full meals the same time every Wednesday for $7.50 and also offers soup, sandwiches, beverages and desserts.

The center is located in downtown Backus at 131 Front St. For more information, call 218-947-3844.
