The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District will host an online tree sale open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27.

Buyers can find the event link on the SWCD website or at https://uso2web.zoom.us/j/87163276420.

The open house will consist of presentations on native shoreline restorations, goat grazing on invasive buckthorn, and private forest management tips. There will be breakout sessions where attendees can ask questions about the tree sale and other SWCD programs.

Discounts will be available to participants at the open house. ($10 off on tree sale orders over $100.)

“The SWCD goal is to reach a million trees for Crow Wing County and beyond," Melissa Barrick, district manager, said in a news release.

The SWCD created a new shop page with pictures and diagrams that is easy to use. To order trees, plants or shrubs, visit cwswcd.org and click on the shop tab. The deadline to order is Feb. 28.

The trees and plants will be available for pickup from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 6-7, at the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds curling building in Brainerd.
