The Nisswa Fire Department received $10,410 when the city of Nisswa raised the most money in the state through the Minnesota Municipal Beverage Association fundraiser developed by Coors Banquet for local fire departments.

The fundraiser took place Aug. 1-Sept. 11, with an event Aug. 28 at the Pickle Factory in Nisswa.

The city's municipal liquor operations - the Pickle Factory and Spirits of Nisswa - thank those who donated money and helped with the successful event, including Chris Cunningham, Tito's Handmade Vodka; Mike Jorgensen, Southern Wine and Spirits; Sam Branstad, Breakthru Beverage; and John Chance, MillerCoors.

Local donations included The Legacy at Cragun's, Grand View and White Birch golf courses.

Staff at the Pickle Factory, Spirits of Nisswa and D&D Beverage helped as well, and Tina Foster helped organize and price the raffle items.
