Funds will go toward nurses training scholarships
Donations have gone to scholarships, veteran programs, the fire department and other community projects.
Pequot Lakes has a large team and faces rising costs of the sport.
The Ben Krueger American Legion Post 49 Memorial Day event will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, May 30, at the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium.

Meet the racers
Pequot Lakes American Legion Post No. 49 is sponsoring a blood drive for the American Red Cross from noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6. Both drives will take place at the American Legion meeting hall.
While many communities canceled or changed their annual Memorial Day ceremonies due to COVID-19 concerns, the Pine River American Legion chose to go forward with its three ceremonies at the Pine River Dam, Pine Ridge Cemetery and Swanburg Cemetery, though services were more brief than usual.

We were lucky enough last fall to find in Cold Spring the same color granite that we’ve been looking for for a number of years that matches the pavers we’ve been using on the Pequot Lakes All Veterans Memorial in Trailside Park.
Community Action of Pequot Lakes partnered with Operation Homefront, Pequot Lakes Dollar Tree Store and the Pequot Lakes American Legion to donate toys to the Pequot Lakes School District.
