Learn how to make easy, secure online passwords at a technology seminar at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Crosslake Community Center. Technicians of Emily Cooperative Telephone Co. and Crosslake Communications will be the presenters.

It seems like no matter what you do online, you need to create an account and a secure password. Sometimes the passwords are so involved as far as special characters, numbers and letters, it is getting hard to remember what they are or were. Being online is as risky as ever and that trend will likely continue as technology grows.

Seminar participants will look at password storing options, focusing on LastPass, an option that could change the way people surf the web. Participants may bring their personal computer to do a walk through setting up for LastPass.

The best online protection is knowledge, and the goal of this seminar is to provide participants with education on passwords and how hackers are able to crack into accounts due to poor password construction. Presented by the technicians of ECTC and Crosslake Communications.
