Miss Hamerica, the official mascot of Pine River's very own Fresh Start Meat Market was secretly returned to her home at the meat market after being stolen only days before.
The 250 pound pig shaped grill disappeared somewhere between closing Thursday, Oct. 1 and and the opening Oct. 2.
“I was out changing the sign and noticed something was missing,” said owner Michael Styx. “I saw the chain was cut and asked, 'Where's the pig?'. I came back in and talked to my wife. Nobody knew anything about it, so we figured out someone stole it overnight.”
Police were informed and a shout-out for help was made on social media. Sunday, Oct. 4, Styx received a phone call.
“We were out of town and my brother called and said, 'Hey, the pig's back.'.” Styx said. “I don't know if it was late Saturday night, Sunday morning.”

Styx had a simple message for those who returned the mascot.
“Thank you,” he said. “It's just a pig.”
