Spray joins Essentia-Pequot Lakes clinic as nurse practitioner

Nurse practitioner Kelly Spray has joined the family medicine team at the Essentia Health St. Joseph's-Pequot Lakes Clinic.

The Pequot Lakes Clinic, located at 4317 Woodman St., offers primary care led by Dr. Brett Nienaber and nurse practitioner Mary Lee Kreger.

With the addition of Spray, clinic hours are being expanded to 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. four days a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays) and8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursdays.

Spray most recently worked at Essentia's clinic in Brainerd, and looks forward to continuing her career close to home.

"I have lived in the Pequot Lakes area for the past five years and my husband, Kyle, is a math teacher at the Pequot Lakes School," said Spray. "I look forward to practicing where I live and where our children will grow up."

Spray earned a master's degree in nursing from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

"I have always known that I wanted to work in family practice," said Spray. "Having the opportunity to take care of patients across their lifespan is truly an incredible experience."

Spray has a special interest in disease prevention and educating patients about their health care.

"I want my patients to know that I am committed to them, and I take pride in being a very patient and compassionate person," she said.
