The Crow Wing County Land Services Department will conduct a business electronics collection event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Crow Wing County Landfill Site.
This is an opportunity for businesses to dispose of any old electronics. Items accepted include:
• Computer equipment: CPUs, CD/DVD roms, monitors, memory, networking, printers, scanners and tape drives.
• Other equipment: circuit boards, integrated circuits, precious metal scrap, wire and cable and motor generators. Loose batteries will not
be accepted.

• Specialized equipment: duplication/copying, banking, bar code, communication, hospital/medical, telephone and test/lab.
The landfill attendant will direct businesses to the collection site. Equipment to be disposed will be unloaded and weighed, and businesses will be provided with a bill of lading for records.
The cost to dispose of business electronics is 35 cents per pound. Local businesses that plan to participate are encouraged to contact the Land Services Solid Waste Office at 218-824-1290 so paperwork may be completed to expedite the wait time.
Arrow Global Asset Disposition, Inc. (formally known as Asset Recovery) will verify the equipment and invoice companies within two weeks of the drop-off, so no payment is required during the event. Arrow Global Asset Disposition uses "NAID Certified with the National Association of Information Destruction" when destroying all data.
