The search is on for the 2018 Crow Wing County dairy princesses and ambassadors. Candidates for senior dairy princess must be a high school senior by July 1 and not yet 24 years of age. County junior dairy princesses can be between the ages of 13 and 24.

Both must have a dairy farm background. Her parents or guardians, or she, must be actively engaged in the production of milk to a licensed dairy plant during the current year. A candidate also qualifies if she or her parents are employed on a dairy farm in a dairy-related capacity.

A candidate for the dairy ambassador title may be male or female, between the ages of 13 and 24, and have an interest in promoting dairy products and the dairy industry.

The Crow Wing County Dairy Princess and Ambassador banquet will be 7 p.m. March 17 at the Pierz Ballroom.

Dairy princesses and ambassadors will spend the year in dairy-related events including county fair, parades, classroom visits and farm tours. Senior dairy princesses can attend training May 18-20 at the College of St. Benedict and compete for the title of Princess Kay of the Milky Way.
