An "industry leading manufacturer in the outdoor recreational market is looking to open a branch in Pine River," according to the Cass County Economic Development Corporation.

The CCEDC is seeking responses to a survey gauging the workforce available in the area to see if Pine River is the right fit for the company. Trade skills that are preferred include: construction, electrical, mechanical and handyman experience or willingness to be trained. The company in question would have positions paying $14-$21 an hour depending on experience with benefits.

"Your participation in this survey could help boost employment in the Pine River service area," according to the CCEDC post on Facebook.

The survey is eight questions and can be found at CCEDC Executive Director Mike Paulus said he is unable to name the company.
