Lowell 3rd Graders Rule in Cinderella's Favor

Email
The field trip came about because in our third grade state standards, students are required to learn about the three branches of government. I decided the best way to teach them about the judicial branch was in a hands on way. Two of my parents, Vickie Dudeck and Ilissa Ramm, have connections to the court systems, and were able to help pull it off. Before our trip today, we studied the difference between civil and criminal trials; trial courts, appellate courts and supreme courts; and as well discussed the jobs of judges, attorneys, and court reporters. Several students shared that they think they know about the court system than their parents do. :)
