Hey there, Tech Savvy Fans! To kick things off a HUGE congratulations to Lindsay S. who was the winner of the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX HD that we gave away in our booth at the Marketplace Show. Lindsay’s new phone will run on the Verizon 4G LTE network and boasts a gigantic battery and blazing speed. She was lucky No. 6 in our random drawing and her tweet on why she needed a new phone was, “My old phone is dying, the screen is getting lines!” Congrats, Lindsay, I hope your new phone works great!
Hey there, Tech Savvy Fans! This week has been a busy one for me. Friday and Saturday, April 5 and 6, were the dates of the 2012 Brainerd Marketplace Show and if your reading this on April 6 it’s not too late to come down to the Brainerd Civic Center and chat with me. At 12:15 p.m. Saturday I take the main stage with my guest from Verizon Wireless as we demo some new gadgets that are now available for you. If you can’t make the stage show, stop by the booth afterwards to chat with us one on one and try some of the gadgets first-hand.
A couple weeks ago I wrote an IMHO about QR (Quick Response) Codes and how I thought they were becoming outdated. I was thinking about it more and thought that rather than just outright dismissing them, I could expound a little on some of the things I see replacing them in the near future. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with QR Codes, they do a job and they do it well. They are also widely used now and that is important to remember. That being said, there are now more and much cooler options out there.
Hey there, Tech Savvy Fans! This week we had a couple of great reader questions, and I want to just dive right into those. Keep your questions coming; they help me learn more about some really awesome things! I hope my suggestions help and I’d love to hear back if you had success. Gettin’ Ink Done
I’ve spent this last week in Dallas with some of my coworkers from other parts of our company and I just wanted to share a little bit of what we got to learn about. It was a real eye-opener. Anyone who has been aware of some of the changes that have taken place within Facebook or search engine algorithms have probably experienced them first hand but for those of us that don’t follow the updates this will catch you up a bit.
H i i there Tech Savvy fans! This week I thought it would be great fun to take a look at something that everyone is familiar with — Spam.
Hi-ho there Tech Savvy fans! I’ve been thinking a lot this week about technology in general. It wasn’t on purpose but as I was looking through more and more tech info, I kept finding that a lot of the buzz is centering not only on the devices but also on the accessories that you can get for them.
Hey there Tech Savvy Fans! This week I wanted to share a little info on a nifty gadget on loan from my friends at Verizon Wireless. A couple weeks ago I was able to meet up with them and they gave me a couple really cool things to check out — the Samsung Note II and the Sony Smartwatch. I’m still putting the Note II through some tests but I’ve got enough info to introduce you to the Sony Smartwatch. Right now it’s only compatible with Android devices due to Apple’s restrictions on apps running in the background. Sorry Apple fans, time to get a Droid.
