Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! This week I’m here to give you a little bit of your sanity back. No, really, I mean it. If you’re like me you tend to forget things. It used to be everything: names, addresses, calendar events and where I would put things. Thanks to things like Google synced contacts, my smartphone and tablet, I have been doing much better with those first three items. However, if I ever misplaced my phone, or it was stolen, my organization would start to fall apart in a hurry.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! First I wanted to start with a couple of thank yous — No. 1 going out to all of the Tech Savvy fans! I have had the opportunity to meet some of you and it is very humbling to know that you read the column and I hope that this information is helpful to you, thank you for your support!
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! Well, happy summer to you all (finally)! It looks like the sun decided to come out and we can only hope that this trend continues for the rest of the season. In honor of this momentous occasion I thought this would be a good week to look at some random fun things for the summer weather. Whether you’re at the beach, road-trippin’ or just hanging out in the yard with the family, there are lots of great tech items to keep you entertained.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans!
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! Well, this week I wanted to give you a little update on how my fitness tracking is working, and also give you a little review on a new addition to the mix — the Link Armband by BodyMedia. As you may know, this whole journey started with my desire to finish what I started last year and lose the remaining 15 pounds on my goal.
Have you noticed that it is a seemingly endless process to keep your smartphone apps updated? It seems like every time you think you are caught up you get a notice that one — and usually more — of your apps has an improved version for you to download. It’s a bit of a Catch-22 for me. On one hand I really enjoy knowing that the developers are actively working on keeping their programs as current as possible. On the other hand, sometimes it really drives me insane having to constantly update apps or run the risk of them not working.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! Thank you for keeping the kids and husbands in line out there, the world is a better place because of all of you.
Hey there, Tech Savvy Fans! This week we’re back at it with another review and this week we have a two for one. On loan from Verizon Wireless we have the Samsung Note 2 and the Samsung Note 10.1 Tablet, both running on the lightning fast 4G LTE network. This will be the first look at some of the “extra-large” phones and it was interesting to me to see them side by side since there has been so much discussion on the pros and cons of the “Phablet” (phones with a screen larger than 5 inches) and their predecessor, the Tablet.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! This past week has just been packed full of really great things here and it got me on the track of how things are constantly evolving and how that is continually impacting us in our everyday lives. We talk about change a lot in Tech Savvy and even though change is a recurring theme, I don’t really ever feel that we’re “stuck in a rut” on what we look at.
Hi there, Tech Savvy fans! Thanks for joining us again. As promised, this week continues our review streak. This week we are going to take a look at another great fitness tracking accessory, the UP by Jawbone. On loan from my friends at Verizon Wireless, the UP was designed to work with smartphones and devices like my HTC DNA and the iPad. Step it UP
