Crow Wing County invites public review and feedback on its updated draft of the county's multi-hazard mitigation plan, as required by the Federal Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000. The multi-jurisdictional plan covers Crow Wing County, including the cities of Baxter, Brainerd, Breezy Point, Crosby, Crosslake, Cuyuna, Deerwood, Emily, Fifty Lakes, Fort Ripley, Garrison, Ironton, Jenkins, Manhattan Beach, Nisswa, Pequot Lakes, Riverton and Trommald. The installation of emergency sirens are decided by the governments of each jurisdiction, the Crow Wing County Board heard Tuesday. There are currently 43 sirens in the county. The board is seeking recommendations from the county emergency management director for whether to locate sirens within Unorganized Territory (First Assessment District). Source: Crow Wing County
