If you see a sale on canned goods or dry goods, you can double your purchase and donate to the food shelf. Remember, if you can't afford groceries, toiletries and soaps are also hard to purchase. Laundry detergent, dish soap, toothbrushes/toothpaste, body wash or bar soap, lotions, etc. are items we all use daily but are not available with food stamps or at the food shelf unless donated by caring neighbors.
