Lauretta Frances Oddson, age 103, of Pequot Lakes, passed away Dec. 10, 2008 at home. She was born Aug. 31, 1905 in St. Paul, MN to Daniel and Harriet Cunningham.
Lauretta enjoyed crocheting, bingo and the casino. She had an adult foster home in St. Paul for over 15 years and was recognized in the St. Paul Dispatch for excellent care.
She is survived by her children, Mary Jane (Ted) Olson of Pequot Lakes, Sandra Jensen of Homer, Alaska and Jeff Oddson of Pequot Lakes; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Oddson of Pequot Lakes; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Lauretta is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Belmont after 49 years of marriage; sons, Terry and Bruce; her parents and all of her 11 siblings.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Crosslake, with Father Mike Patullo the celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
