The third annual Gull Lake Frozen Fore - World's Largest Golf & Snowmobile Event will be March 1-2, 2008.
At Gull Lake Frozen Fore, participants are challenged to a golf event at each of nine locations around Gull Lake.
Golf is played with a tennis ball and clubs are provided at each location.
Golf starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 1. Golf skill is not required.
Once you've finished at a location, jump on one of nine free shuttles, ride your snowmobile or drive your car to the next location. There isn't a set route, so travel individually or as a group around to each of the locations.
New this year will be a scavenger hunt. Each location will have an item. Gather all nine and be entered into a drawing.
Participating locations include Bar Harbor, Cragun's, Ernie's on Gull, Grand View Lodge, Kelly's, Matty's, Quarterdeck, Ski Gull and Zorbaz on Gull. Cost is $35. This includes free admission to the second annual Frozen Fore Food Fest - which begins at 11 a.m. Golf awards will be at 1 p.m.
A volunteer committee whose passion is bringing economics to the Brainerd lakes area runs the Gull Lake Frozen Fore. Proceeds are donated to three area charities - Confidence Learning Center, Ski Gull, and The Blue Line Club.
The first 300 entries get a free Gull Lake Frozen Fore Survival Kit!
