The Cass County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) will hold its sixth annual meeting on Oct. 29 at the Chase Hotel in Walker.
Weber was elected to Congress in 1980 and represented Minnesota's Second Congressional District.
During his tenure, he served on the Appropriations Committee and House Republican Leadership.
Currently, Weber is Managing Partner of Clark & Weinstock, a public policy and business consulting firm in Washington, D.C.
He has extensive experience in politics and public policy and serving on boards. He maintains a home in Walker and currently serves on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations and businesses.
His keynote titled, "Moving Forward in Challenging Economic Times," will conclude the evening event on Oct. 29. Social Hour is set to begin at 5:30, which will be followed by dinner.
Project Talks, by two Cass County business owners and a short annual business meeting will follow.
Local businesses, Trails RV Park and Ridgeline Manufacturing, recently received assistance from the Cass County EDC.
The owners, Dave Kaufman from Trail's RV Park and Jerry and Nick Newman from Ridgeline Manufacturing will talk about the development of their businesses and how the EDC provided coordination.
Ridgeline is a dock manufacturing company located in Pillager and Trails RV Park is located west of Walker.
