Crow Wing, Cass DFL units to host fall dinner
Area Democrats will have an opportunity to meet many DFL candidates and office holders when the Crow Wing and Cass County DFL units hold their seventh annual fall dinner Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Nisswa American Legion Club. A social hour and meet and greet will be from 5 to 6 p.m. with dinner and the program beginning at 6 p.m.
Invited guests include Congressman Jim Oberstar, Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken. Featured guests include state reps. John Ward (District 12A), Al Doty (District 12B) and Sen. Mary Olson (Senate District 4), as well as other candidates and state officials.
All Democratic gubernatorial candidates, declared and undeclared, have been invited to attend; most have confirmed their attendance.
Seating is limited to 200. To RSVP, send a $25 check to: Crow Wing DFL Treasurer, PO Box 254, Brainerd, MN 56401 by Oct. 15. Tickets will be $30 at the door if any seats are available. There will be a live auction and live jazz music.
