Northern National Bank, a community banking organization with offices in Baxter, Nisswa and Crosslake, will host a grand opening celebration on Monday, Oct. 19, the same day that its merger with sister banks Frandsen Bank & Trust and Community Bank of the Red River Valley becomes official.
Ribbon cuttings will be held at 9 a.m. at all the bank's offices.
Northern National Bank President James Kraft will host a news conference and unveil the bank's new logo and signage at the event. The festivities will include comments from the president, chamber of commerce ribbon cutting, and cake and coffee.
Customers, members of the media and community members are invited to attend.
Kraft said the merger will allow all three banks to serve their communities more efficiently and effectively by providing customers with access to an expanded network of 21 banking offices throughout Minnesota and North Dakota, and to an expanded network of 21 banking offices throughout Minnesota and North Dakota, and to an expanded number of surcharge-free ATMs.
"Following the merger, Northern National Bank customers will be able to visit any Frandsen Bank & Trust office in Minnesota or North Dakota and enjoy the same friendly, hometown banking experience to which they are accustomed," says Kraft.
"All three banks have been owned by Frandsen Financial Corporation, a bank holding company headquartered in Arden Hills for some time," Kraft said.
Kraft said all banks re-branded to operate under the Frandsen Bank & Trust name will mantain the same leadership teams following the merger and will continue to function as local independent community banks that exercise local decision-making control while honoring their longstanding business and civic commitments within their respective communities.
"The only real change will be a new name -ÊFrandsen Bank & Trust - and many more options for our customers," he said.
