The Central Lakes Rotary Club is taking orders for Rotary Roses, available in red or lollipop, at a cost of $18 a dozen.
This is the largest fundraising project of Central Lakes Rotary, and proceeds from the rose sales support numerous charities in the communities, including:
Bridges of Hope, Mounted Eagles, Grace House, Kinship Partners, Interfaith Care Givers, Ski Gull scholarships, Alex and Brandon Child Safety Center, Habitat for Humanity, Restorative Justice, Camp Knutson, Junior Achievement and food shelves in Pequot Lakes, Crosslake and Pine River.
Central Lakes Rotary will also purchase and distribute dictionaries for all third-grade students at Pequot Lakes, Nisswa, Pine River-Backus and Crosslake Community School.
Place your order with Jackie Becker at 543-6655 or Diane Collins at 568-6027. All orders must be placed by Saturday, Oct. 17, to ensure delivery.
Rose orders will be available for pickup Thursday and Friday, Oct. 22 and 23, at Triangle in Nisswa, Super America in Pequot Lakes, Reeds Market in Crosslake and Johnson Oil in Pine River.
Central Lakes Rotary meets at 7:15 a.m. Tuesdays at the Americ-Inn in Jenkins for a weekly breakfast meeting.
