We are complimented so often by parties who have been affected by the service our police department renders in our community.

Today a letter was received from the Cass County Sheriff's Office commenting on our police department. There was a shooting early on a Saturday morning in Cass Lake. Two people had been shot and the suspects left the scene. They were observed in Pine River. They were stopped in Pequot Lakes. The stop was done in a safe manner and nobody was injured.

Cass County letter states, "I want to express our sincere appreciation of you and your staff's commitment to public safety, professionalism and willingness to collaborate."

I just want to add my appreciation to our staff for their efforts in this operation, especially officer John Ryan.
