Coach Beth McKenna's Pequot Lakes Patriots' volleyball team is still seeking their first win of the young season after two matches as they fell to the Warriors at Deer River Aug. 28 by a 3-0 score.
The Patriots lost to the talented Warriors 15-25, 10-25 and 13-25.
For the Patriots, Emily Lueck had five blocks, 14 digs and three kills; Kirsten Noska had six set assists, six blocks, eight digs and three kills; Renee Kardell had five blocks, six digs and an ace serve; Chelsea Ekeberg had four set assists and an ace serve; Kayla Skog had an ace serve, five digs and two kills; Audra Clement had an ace serve, 10 digs and a kill; Kendra Johnson had two kills and two blocks and Kayla Wangen added a kill.
The Patriots will go for their first win of the season tonight (Thursday) when they host the Sebeka Lady Trojans and then on Saturday they, along with the Pine River-Backus Tigers, will host one of the longest running tourneys in the state, the Pine Lakes Tourney, with action getting underway at 9 a.m.
Their next action is on Thursday, Sept. 11, when the Aitkin Gobblers come here for a non-conference match.
