Vera Elizabeth Sidney died peacefully at her home in Panama City, Florida, on Aug. 8, 2010, with her family present.
She was born Jan. 30, 1922, to the late Frank and Hilma Peterson, of Pine River.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward F. Sidney; daughter, Patricia A. Newell (Don), of Callaway; a granddaughter, Stephanie E. Oberman (Aaron); great-granddaughters, Abigail and Ashley, of Summerville, South Carolina; a grandson, Donald E. Newell, of Knoxville, Tennessee; and a brother, Russell Peterson, of Ephrata, Washington.
A memorial Mass was said by Father John Selleck. Vera will be interred at Fort Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
