Jessica Kuhne, a 14-year-old from Pequot Lakes, earned two first-place awards at the Miss Minnesota Junior Teen competition in Minneapolis. She also earned an invitation to compete in the national pageant in Orlando.
Tyler Mathison, an 11-year-old member of the Nisswa 4-H Club, earned 20 ribbons at the Crow Wing County Fair.
