Dancing, hay rides and a fishing tournament were to be highlights of a Senior Citizen Festival planned Sept. 5-14 in Pequot Lakes.
Coach Jerry Groenwold's Pequot Lakes varsity football team opened the season with an 8-2 overtime loss to Upsala on Aug. 29. The teams had played to a rare 2-2 tie at the end of regulation time.
