Tae Kwon Do classes to begin Sept. 14 in Pequot Lakes



The fall session of Tae Kwon Do classes, offered through Pequot Lakes Community Education and taught by Kevin Littman, will start Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Participants may join at any time.

Classes meet at the Community Education Family Center on West Lake Street in Pequot Lakes, across from Echo Publishing & Printing.

Child class for ages 4 to 5 meets Tuesdays from 6-6:45 p.m. Child class for ages 6 to 7 meets Thursdays from 6-6:45 p.m. The monthly fee for either child class is $24.

Youth class for ages 8 to 12 meets Tuesdays and Thursdays (attend both nights) from 7-8 p.m. The youth class monthly fee is $48.

The adult class is for ages 13 and over and meets Tuesday and Thursday nights. The monthly fee is $48.

Family discounts are available.

Tae Kwon Do is a modern martial art based on Korean traditions that incorporate kicking, blocking and punching techniques. Tae Kwon Do is a workout for the mind as well as the body.

The focus is on physical and mental fitness along with self defense and self discipline skills. The class is great for the development of strength, stamina and flexibility.

Classes are tailored to each individual student to promote a fun, healthy workout. Ages for the classes are used as a guideline. Wear comfortable clothing. Testing and uniforms are available from the instructor for an extra fee. Class sizes are limited for the sessions.
