Because of the successful May blood drives that have been held, Red Cross has increased the goal assigned to the Emily Area Blood Drive from 110 to 120 pints. This was done so extra Red Cross staff could be available to help keep waiting time down for donors.

Donors can also help shorten their waiting time by making an appointment and coming in at their assigned time.

Eligible donors need to be 17 or older, or 16 with a parent or guardian's signature on Red Cross' permission form, and weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

Root beer floats will be served in the canteen area, along with homemade cookies and other snacks.
