Brainerd Lakes Health announces that Karla Provost, respiratory therapist, has joined St. Joseph's Medical Center (SJMC) as director of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory care.
Provost is a graduate of an accredited respiratory care program and maintains additional certifications as a pulmonary function technologist and asthma educator.
She has clinical expertise in pulmonary rehabilitation, asthma education, lung diagnostic testing and critical care. Provost serves in the armed forces and was deployed in 2007 to Iraq as a critical care air transport respiratory therapist.
One of her roles at St. Joseph's Medical Center will include implementation of the pulmonary rehabilitation program. She will work closely with Dr. Greg Davis, intensivist, and nursing and respiratory care staff to expand SJMC's capabilities in critical care medicine and the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disease.
Provost is married to Kevin, and they live in the Brainerd area with their two daughters.
