Rilla Anderson, of Pine River, accompanied by Jan Kosel of Walker, practices for the P.T.L. Concert Fundraiser for Faith in Action.

Performers included P.J. Matthews of Walker singing "Endless Praise," the Immanuel Lutheran School kids singing a medley of bible camp songs, and Theresa Eclov singing "Thank You for the Music." Eunice Dennis, Carol Gustafson and Diana Kramer sang as a trio, "God On the Mountain" and Marilyn Bonk sang "Holy Spirit, Thou Art Welcome." Then Paul Jones played guitar and sang, performing two numbers, "I Wonder" and "Baptism River." Rilla Anderson then sang "What Do I Know of Holy." A special guest appearance was made by "Mitzie" Pearl giving a pitch for calling on Faith in Action and singing "New Day Dawning." Following a short intermission, Calvary Four Plus One performed over a dozen numbers in their toe-tapping southern gospel style. Lynn Mineer also played the mountain dulcimer and accompanied the singers with guitar. Many people clapped and hummed along.

Pastor Mark Widman closed the evening with prayer.

The concert fundraiser was a huge success for Faith in Action. "People were so generous, way beyond our expectations," said Executive Director Theresa Eclov, "and so interested in the work our volunteers do to help those in need." The contributions go directly to support the work of Faith in Action for Cass County, whose volunteers provide rides, housekeeping, chores, friendly visiting, respite, and ramp building in order to help people remain in their homes and communities.
