Pine River Heritage Days, slated for Sept. 12 and 13, promise to be a fun and active time in Pine River.
The annual Pine River Quilt Show will kick off the event on Friday, Sept. 12 and continue through Saturday, Sept. 13.
The show will take place at the Pine River United Methodist Church and will be held 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Hundreds of unique, hand-sewn quilts will be on display.
A new event has been added on Saturday: the Antique Appraisal Day at the Warehouse.
Noted antique appraiser Saundra Schaitberger, Plato, Minn., will be appraising items brought to her from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
A donation of $1 per item will be taken at the door. Individuals may bring in one item at a time for appraising.
A free Hobo Stew feed will be held at the Information Center beginning at noon.
Chamber members are asked to donate vegetables to the stew.
Arlene Gasper and her crew from the Trailbreak Bar & Grill will be doing the cooking. A prize will be given for best dressed man, woman and child Hobo.
