Three face charges for golf course vandalism

Three area men face felony charges after allegedly vandalizing a Crosslake golf course during the early morning hours of Saturday, July 4.

Andrew Robert Garin, 18, of Crosslake; Nathan Brian Wgeishofski, 18, of Pequot Lakes; and Theodore Allen Strand, 19, of Crosslake, each faces charges of theft-unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; third-degree burglary; and first-degree criminal damage to property, according to criminal complaints filed in Crow Wing County District Court.

One juvenile of Breezy Point was also arrested, according to Crosslake police, who investigated the incident at Crosswoods Golf Course.

According to the criminal complaint, those involved stole three golf carts during the night, damaging the carts and the golf course. They also stole beer and candy from the beverage cart, the complaint said.

Estimated damage was approximately $5,000.
