Other campsites will sell Mardi Gras beads, and glow sticks, water bottles, plants, and there will be a silent auction at campsite 7. There will also be games at campsites.
The luminary ceremony will begin at dusk with the lighting of the memorial candles. The candles are lit for those who have passed on in the last year either from cancer or battled cancer during their lifetime.
Team and community members will be given the opportunity to light the memorial candle for their loved one during this ceremony. Community members may also participate. Bring a butane lighter and join the teams on the track during the lighting.
Those in attendance will be asked to think how they can "fight back" against cancer. It may be as simple as getting a physical or encouraging a friend to get a mammogram or PSA test.
The teams will continue their walk throughout the night and will welcome the light of the new day.
