Son's cancer raised awareness

Logan Fogarty
We decided to participate in the Relay for Life this year as a first-time team.

We have had many family members who have endured cancer treatments. Some have won their battles, and some didn't make it.

It wasn't until our son, Logan, became diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at 5 months of age, and endured three surgeries, eight rounds of chemo, and many, many tests that we truly realized how important it is to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Our team name will be Team "NED" (no evidence of disease) because we finally heard those words after a year journey with our son, one that won't be over soon, but one that is showing us hope.

Please join Logan and the rest of the survivors at the Pine River-Backus Area Relay For Life.

Please stay and visit the camp sites, take in the live entertainment, check out the silent auction, walk the track and read the luminaries, and be part of the moving luminary ceremony at dusk.

There is something for the whole family at the relay!

(Megan Fogarty is captain of Team NED.)
