Crosswoods men's golf league winners from June 9.

Madden's golf league results

Madden's ladies' league - Pine Beach West Back 9 was played. Bingo, bango, bongo winner was Connie Sofie, Connie Bender long drive on hole 10, Lois Person, long putt on hole 18.

League plays at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, nine holes and social hour, all ladies are welcome.

Madden's men's league

Madden's men's league - Pine Beach East was played. Two- Man modified scramble - Hugh Phillips and Len Brown, first with a 63; Dan Gruska and Dennis Thuecks, second with a 64.

Crosswoods ladies' golf league

The Crosswoods ladies' golf league had 35 players Wednesday, June 10.

The play of the day was best poker hand - even holes. The winners were Beryl Roe, Sandy Melberg, Sharren Nuffer, Jeanne Winiecki, Georgi Ashlin, Betty Lidholm, Polly Abler, RoseAnn Stans, Char Gibbons and Carol Coult.

Ashlin had a chip-in on hole 18 and Marge Eide had a chip-in on hole 16. Coult, Sue Mitsch and Lila Kersey each had a birdie on hole 15.


Whitefish womens nine hole golfers wore pink attire for Rally for the Cure Day.
White fish women's golfers: June 10 was Rally for the Cure, and 39 league members participated in this grassroots program which is designed to spread awareness of breast health and breast cancer.

The volunteer ambassador for the Nine-Hole golfers was Gini Moberg, who organized the 39 golfers, who all wore pink.

A sleeve of golf balls was awarded to Phyllis Evans, Deloris Rubaid, Shirley McMahon, Sally Larson and Kathy Larson.

Evans won the number 4 golf club.

The game of the week was individual reverse score. Winners were Sue Taylor, Lyn Luick and Evans. Kathy Keeling had a chip-in on hole 8. Lois Lynch had a chip-in on hole 1.

This was coordinated by hostess Delores Rubaid and Janet McDougal. Following the luncheon a tree award was given to Jan

Hupperts and Harriet Smith got the water award.

Breezy Point ladies' golf league

The event of the day on Thursday, June 11, played at Whitebirch was alternate shots.

First-place team with a score of 94 was Sue Marsolais, Betty Aga, Dee Wicks and Joi Brandt.

Second-place with a 101 was Bonnie Person, Jorie Lindner, Bobbie Griffiths and Jan Benson.

Third-place was Verna Miller, Karen Johnson, Jean Appleton and Bugs Schmidt with a 102.

Bunny Oseland, Kathy Zender, Judi Moravec and Ardell Cook tied for fourth with Darlene Palmer, Linda Esser, Patty Carlyle and Jill Roeder with a 104.

Fairways at Howard's Barn men's golf league

Fairway's At Howard's Barn Mens Golf League Results from June 10.

First - Gene Blatz, Tom Yurek and Dick Pearson. Second - Jim Rauenhorst, Jerry Kolpek and Don Miller. Third - Ken Lieske, John Driscoll and Ted Dockendorf.

Longest putt on hole 9, Bing Brodzinski; chip-ins, Ken Lieske, John Driscoll and Dick Pearson.

League plays at 8:30 a.m. Wednesdays.

Fairways at Howard's Barn women's league

The Fairways at Howard's Barn women's league met Tuesday morning, June 9, when the play of the day was handicap.

Winners were Marlene Miller and Helen Silva.

Pine River ladies' golf

Pine River ladies' golf league had 14 players June 11. The game of the day was blind partners.Ê

First - Phyllis Anderson and Audrey Holland. Second - Carol Lovro and Joan Tuttle.

Low putts, Audrey Holland and Lila Kersey.

League plays each week at 9 a.m., except the week of the Fourth of July.

Legacy women's league

Emily Olson and Rhonda Mareck each shot 41s to card the low round on the Dutch Course during the June 9 women's league at the Legacy Courses at Cragun's.

Kay Gunnarson used the least amount of putts with 14. Nadine Fraki had the longest putt and Katie Gallatin was closest to the pin.

On the Par 3 Course Tricia Jasmer shot a 34 for low round, Mary Biersach's 17 putts were the low, Donna Gottsch sank the longest putt and EdytheFerrian was closest to the pin.

Whitefish women's 18-hole league results for June 10

The 18 Hole Whitefish women's league had 38 players Wednesday, June 10.

Game of the day was team low putts.

First-place team with 129 putts was Barb Holubar, Joan Heuer, Sharon Keister and a blind draw.

Second-place was a tie at 136 putts - team Mary Kay Kendall, Enga Wodziak, Myra Faust, Joan Kantos and team Judy Johnson, Anne Gazda, Shari Loechler and Sally Helmer.

Low net for the day went to Loechler with 71. No birdies were scored, but there were four chip-ins - Holubar, Keister, Connie Foster and Cheryl Bontrager.

Halverson Law leads Legacy league

Halverson Law still leads Legacy league. Edward Jones and Bremer Bank both cashed in with 32s June 11 to close the gap on the Legacy League leading Halverson Law Office at the Legacy Coursesat Cragun's. Halverson Law defeated People's Security 25-19 to hold onto a seven-point lead with two weeks remaining in the first half of the season. Edward Jones topped Riverwood Bank 32-12 to grab second and Bremer Bank knocked down Dutch's Duffers 32-12 for third in the standings.

Thomas & Associates defeated Mills Motor 9.5-2.5 June 11 to maintain its lead in the Breezy Point Resort men's Twilight league.

The leaders own a 7-point advantage over Park Midway Bank, which secured a 11.5-0.5 win over Dick Parks Gas. Commander/JJ's is in third place after defeated Pestello's 8-4.
