You are right, sir, "This country is in serious trouble," and not because the economy is collapsing, but because we Americans (and the like) are not taking proper care of the land.
It is extremely disheartening to hear Christians (and the like) speak with such disregard for Earth.
In response to Mr. Dale Anderson's letter about Nancy Pelosi's news release, where she says something along the lines of, "To minister to the needs of God's creation is an act of worship," I am confused as to how anyone who believes in God could argue about that statement.
If you believe that God created everything, then being good to creation is an act of worship. In the end all you have to show for are your actions.
My prayer is that I hope people of America (and the like) will be able to realize the gifts and beauty of Earth is where we are, it IS where we live and it is absolutely alive. Let us give gratitude for the being that sustains our lives.
Genesis 1:12: The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and tress bearing fruit with seed according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
This is from the seven-day creation story in the Holy Bible New International Version.
When God created Earth it was good and you know, people, it is still good.
