Learn how to design and install an effective rain garden to minimize storm water runoff from your property at a workshop May 14-16 at the Northland Arboretum.
You will design a rain garden to suit your property and will have the opportunity for consultation.
Workshop participants are encouraged to attend the design workshop and one or both of the hands-on plant-ing workshops.
Design workshop is 6 to 9 p.m. May 14, and plantings are 6 to 9 p.m. May 15, or 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. May 16.
Participants should bring simple sketch of your property indicating building structures, location of down spouts and current vegetation; photographs of your site; and soil sample or type (if you know it), from your yard.
The cost includes educational materials and refreshments. Cost is $10 for Northland Arboretum members and $20 for non-members.
