Breezy Point police want help from the public with tracking down a reckless driver who dangerously sideswiped another motorist on Buschmann Road on Saturday morning, April 25.
Sgt. Kevin Merschman said a silver or pewter colored pickup truck, possibly an early 2000 model, was westbound on Buschmann Road when it crossed over the centerline.
The pickup sideswiped the car of a mother, who was driving a silver colored Saturn eastbound, with her four daughters in the car. Merschman called the incident a "hit and run" because the pickup kept going without stopping.
The mother and children were not injured.
Merschman said the silver pickup may be an extended cab model and did not have a topper. He said the incident occurred by the swampy area near Nelson Road.
Merschman said there was one other witness to the incident, and the driver of the pickup is believed to be a male, who may also have had a passenger.
Merschman requests that anyone with knowledge of the incident contact the Breezy Point Police Department.
