Walls were raised for the first home of the 2008 build season on March 25 in south Brainerd.
This home will receive 75 percent of its funding through a partnership with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, area Lutheran congregations and local Thrivent members.

To help raise funds for the Brainerd build, Thrivent Financial will host a concert at 7:30 p.m. May 2 at Tornstrom Auditorium. Tonic Sol fa, a well known a cappella pop music quartet from the Twin Cities area, will perform.
Tickets will be on sale for $18 at Cub Foods in Brainerd and Baxter, from local Thrivent representatives and at the Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity office in Brainerd.
