The Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts (GLAPA) season of shows continues with the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet taking the Pequot Lakes High School Theatre stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20.
This is the fifth show in the 2009-10 GLAPA season.
The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet (MGQ) formed in 1986 and has performed throughout the United States both in recital and with orchestra.
The quartet plays music from Renaissance and Baroque to Spanish, Latin American and Romantic to highly imaginative contemporary works and has appeared with the Austin Symphony, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Britt Festival Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra and the Columbus, Ga., Symphony.
In recital, the quartet appeared in Seattle, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Omaha and Williamstown, Mass.
The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet has been heard on the nationally syndicated St. Paul Sunday and on National Public Radio's Performance Today.
Adult tickets are $14, senior tickets for ages 60 and over are $12 and youth tickets for ages 18 and under are $10.
