The Pelican Lake Conservation Club will meet Wednesday, March 11, at the Pelican Lakes Community Center, which is one mile south of the Breezy Point Resort entrance off County Road 4.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and includes corned beef, ham, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, corn, buns and dessert.

Speaker will be Dan Swanson, invasive species specialist for the Brainerd Lakes Area Department of Natural Resources. His presentation, "How safe is the water?" will include a brief description about the changes in the invasive species infestations in the Brainerd lakes area and the implemented corrective actions to reduce the spread of invasive species.
Swanson will also discuss current DNR programs to further reduce the risk of transferring invasive species infestations to other lakes.
