The Neighborhood: Spring is in the air

It was a pre-springy time in the neighborhood...

It was actually getting light out when I drove to work this morning at 6:30. Spring is on the way! Seriously, isn't it amazing what a little more daylight can do for you? I really don't mind our winter weather - cold, snow, whatever we get. But those endless hours of darkness tend to get to me.

Never mind that in a few weeks daylight savings time will kick in, and we will be back to darkness in the early morning. But hey, that can't last long. Pretty soon we will have hours and hours of daylight.

I am going to stick to my plan. I am planning to get up a lot earlier so I can take my dogs for a walk before coming to work. What a great way to start the day. Come to think of it, I might just get "lost" in the woods and not make it in to work. I wonder how long it would take before anyone missed me?

Sharp, clear, brisk air. Endless sunshine. Trees budding out, little flower blossoms peaking out among the leaves. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring.

But, wait. What's that? It's snowing! Just some flurries - can't amount to much, right? We'll find out, won't we? By the time you read this, we could be shoveling the white fluffy stuff yet again.

I can handle it. Spring is in the air...
