"Shamrock & Roll in Crosslake" is the theme of the 34th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Celebration on Saturday, March 15, in Crosslake.
This year's event will feature a new parade route and start time. The parade will be at noon, and will follow a shorter, safer route that is the reverse of the former route.
Orval Nelson is parade grand marshal.
The parade will begin at Crosslake Town Square, then move west on Swann Drive and head south on Pioneer Drive to County Road 3, proceeding west to County Road 66 and travel north to the bridge where the parade ends.
Parade float registration deadline is Feb. 29. Pre-registration is required for parade entries. Float entry fee is $100, excluding Brainerd Lakes Chamber members, nonprofits and youth categories.

Blinkie Buttons are on sale for $6 at Crosslake area merchants or at any Brainerd Lakes Chamber office for a chance to win raffle prizes and take advantage of specials from Crosslake merchants when wearing your button.
A Ms. Blarney Contest will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, at Manhattan Beach Lodge & Big Trout Tavern. Anyone over age 21 can enter. Contact Valere Byerly at (218) 831-1332 for details.
The Pot O'Gold Treasure Hunt will run March 10-15 in Crosslake. Clues will be posted daily at www.crosslake.com, and at Crosslake area merchants. Winner will receive $100 chamber bucks.
