PR-B High School Student Council does many fundraisers for charitable organizations and national disasters throughout the year. Having seen the devastating impact that the earthquakes had to the Haitian people and their country, they've dedicated themselves to helping as much as they can.
A fundraiser, Hands for Haiti, starts Feb. 4 and ends Feb. 24.
To start off this humanitarian community outreach project they will be hosting a community kickoff on Feb. 4 at 6:45 p.m. in the commons at Pine River-Backus High School. The guest speaker will be Joe Gibson from the American Red Cross. There will be a PR-B Chamber Choir performance and a video on the disaster. During the Hands for Haiti fundraiser they will be selling T-shirts, stickers and cutout handprints that will be displayed around the community and school.
The students hope that you will support them in trying to make a difference for the Haitian survivors. Anything donated will be appreciated in helping them raise their goal of $1,500.
