Poetry reading featured at Nisswa Women's Club gathering

The Nisswa Women's Club held its monthly membership meeting Thursday, Jan. 21, at Prairie Bay restaurant in Baxter.
2010 president Jane Gunsbury presided over the meeting, which 106 members attended. Poet Maxine Russell, who will celebrate her 98th birthday on Feb. 17, presented the program, "Poetry For All Ages."
It was announced that the Nisswa Women's Club would observe its 90th anniversary in 2010 with an anniversary tea and reunion Aug. 24. A history book that was printed for the club's 75th anniversary will be updated, and a book of memories from 1998 will also be updated in observance of the anniversary.
