Ski Gull will host the first Ibedirod for Youth event to benefit the ski hill, Kinship Partners and Youth as Resources (YAR) on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The event will feature teams of four racing down a ski hill on a mattress. Registration will be at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 6 p.m.

Cost is $50 per team. Teams should collect pledges. There will be prizes for the fastest team, most pledges collected and best costumes.

Registration forms are available by calling (218) 963-4353, visiting www.skigull.com or at Ski Gull (by the Information Board). Registration by mail must be received by Feb. 19. Registration and pledges also will be accepted at the event Feb. 27.

Ski Gull, Kinship Partners and United Way's YAR are dedicated to helping youth in the community succeed and develop healthy lifestyles.

Those who don't want to participate in races can still sponsor a team or give a pledge.

Spectators are welcome at the event.
