Pirates of the Jubilean is the theme of the 38th annual Nisswa Winter Jubilee Feb. 12-14, sponsored by the Brainerd Lakes Area Lions.

Following is a list of events.

Friday, Feb. 12

7 p.m. - Miss Nisswa Scholarship Pageant at Lutheran Church of the Cross, sponsored by the Nisswa Area Women of Today.

8 a.m. - Medallion Hunt with clues posted Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings at the chamber building. Win a $200 cash prize.

All day - Get your commemorative Nisswa Jubilee Button for $3 at the Pickle Factory, Nisswa American Legion and Nisswa Chamber of Commerce.

11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. - Regular lunch menu at Nisswa Legion.

4 p.m. - Meat raffle at the Nisswa Legion.

6:30-8 p.m. - Chef Tom's surf & turf dinner, $12.95.

7:30-11:30 p.m. - Dance with Muddy Waters at Nisswa Legion. You must have a Jubilee button to get in or buy one at the door.

Saturday, Feb. 13

8 a.m. - Medallion Hunt clues posted at chamber building.

9 a.m.-3 p.m. - Food court in the Pickle parking lot.

All day - Button sales; kids' climbing snow sculpture outside the Pickle by the trail.

10 a.m. - Snow sculpture judging. Sign up beforehand at Triangle store. There are youth (must be created by youth) and adult categories.

10-11 a.m. - Mini Jubilee featuring games for kids at Nisswa School.

11 a.m. - Line up and judging of parade participants. Entry forms are available at the Nisswa Chamber.

11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. - Chef Tom's luncheon at the Nisswa Legion.

Noon - Parade down Main Street.

1 p.m. - Wood splitting contest behind the chamber building. Sign up beforehand at Triangle.

1:30 p.m. - Family Olympics at the Nisswa ball park. Sign up in the Jubilee tent.

1:30 p.m. - Volleyball tournament outside the Pickle.

4-8 p.m. - Meat raffle and Chef Tom's pulled pork sandwich with chips for $6 at the Nisswa Legion.

7:30 p.m. - Dance to Kings Ransom (former members of Silent Partner) at the Nisswa Legion. You must have a Jubilee button to get in or buy one at the door.

Sunday, Feb. 14

Noon-2 p.m. - Ice Fishing Derby on Nisswa Lake, off the Hazelwood Drive access, with $1 raffle tickets available on the lake all day, sponsored by the Nisswa Fire Department. Cost is $3 per hole and minnows will be available.

2 p.m. - Sloppy Jo's: 1 Jo Plate, $3; 2 Jo plate, $5, served by the Nisswa Legion Auxiliary.

4 p.m. - Tug-O-War at the Nisswa Legion.

4 p.m. - Live entertainment featuring a jam session with the Nisswa All Stars at the Nisswa Legion. You must have Jubilee button to get in or buy one at the door.
