Crosslake police answered two alarms early Monday morning at Moonlite Bay Restaurant & Lounge and the Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion.
Crosslake Police Chief Robert Hartman said the first alarm was triggered about 3:30 a.m. at Moonlite Bay, and about 3:50 a.m. at the American Legion.
Crosslake police found signs of forced entry at both locations. Nothing was reported missing from either business. Hartman said both businesses remove all cash from the premises after hours.
Hartman said the burglars gained access to the Legion by breaking a glass pane out of a door, and by breaking a sliding glass door at the restaurant.
Hartman called the case "somewhat unusual," saying that reports of burglary are rare in Crosslake, and there have been none in his recent memory.
There are no suspects in the case, and the crimes continue to be under investigation. Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department and Breezy Point Police assisted with the calls.
