May 10, senior Emily Mitchell, team captain and an archer on the Crosslake Community School Archery team, shot 245 and placed 55th in the 12th-grade girls division as an individual archer.
On May 11, she shot 244 and placed 23rd in the same division of the 2018 Centershot National 3D Tournament. 
Mitchell will be the first archer from the Brainerd lakes area to participate in the 2018 Centershot Ministries Worlds Tournament and the 2018 Centershot Worlds 3D Tournament, to be held June 7-9 in Louisville.
